This is a very unusual white tea grown and hand-processed in Malawi. It is made entirely from the stems rather than the leaves of the tea plant, and the cultivars that produce the tea were selected for maximum production of catechin anti-oxidants and L-Theanine in the hot southeast African climate.

Like other white teas, White Antlers are minimally processed - just hand-dried. The tea is grown without the use of pesticides and is certified Fair Trade. The tea steeps well for about 2 minutes with water no hotter than 160-170ºf, and will yield several very aromatic steepings, each slightly different from the last.

Brett: "I've never seen or tasted a tea like this one before. It has a surprising amount of flavor and color for a white tea. Deep honey, fruit and oak notes swirl with brisker, champagne-like sparkle. This tea is a rare treasure."
