These bricks were imported by our friends at Tacoma Trading Co. They were crafted by a talented female puer master name Tanmei who used to work for the Kunming tea factory. Now she is independent and works with her husband to market her tea.

These curious little black bricks are concentrated pu'er, which has been brewed and condensed through a decoction process into a jelly (茶膏), and then dried. The end product is highly concentrated and dissolves into a pleasant tasting pu'er liquor in hot or cold water.

Haiwan Factory square pu'er brick, 2010. This rip pu'er is rich and satisfying, with sweet molasses notes. It would be a great everyday drinking tea.

This is a nice, basic, everyday loose leaf cooked puer, from 2007.
